Chamarajanagar is a newly formed district and it is one of the most backward districts of the state and borders the State of Tamil Nadu. It comprise of dense forest and hilly terrain with villages scattered all over. Its. Jurisdiction extends to the four taluks on the Chamarajanagar District, I.e., Kollegal, Yelanduru Gundlupet, Santhemarahalli, Senior Citizens above 60 years of age belonging to any community in the weaker sections of the society are selected by conducting a survey particularly of the people belonging to Scheduled Castes and Schedule Tribes and obese by providing all facilities like : Boarding, Lodging, Recreation, Medical facilities, etc., at no cost to the beneficiary. The Old Age Home at Halahalli, Mandya and Santhemarahalli are presently being run in rented accommodations and the organization is striving hard to procure suitable land create better infrastructure of the programme.
